On behalf of everyone at Cornwall PFC, we would like to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to the Muscular Dystrophy Golf Society (S. Glos) for their generous support. Their £1,000 donation will sponsor our team and make a meaningful contribution towards our ongoing running costs.
Powerchair football is a fast, competitive and highly skilled sport, but behind every match is a great deal of practical work. Venue hire, league entry fees, travel, maintenance of specialist powerchairs, equipment and training costs all add up quickly. As a grassroots club in Cornwall, we work hard to keep the sport accessible and affordable for our players and their families. Support like this makes that possible.
What makes this donation especially powerful is the shared understanding behind it. The Muscular Dystrophy Golf Society raises funds and awareness through their events, bringing people together in support of those living with muscular dystrophy and related conditions. Their generosity does not simply sit on a balance sheet; it directly helps create opportunities for sport, independence and community.
At Cornwall PFC, our players train with commitment and represent the county with pride in the South West Regional league. The impact of this sponsorship will be felt in every training session, every away fixture and every goal scored. It helps us plan with a little more confidence and focus on what truly matters: developing players, strengthening the team and continuing to grow powerchair football in Cornwall.
To everyone involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Golf Society (S. Glos), thank you for choosing to support us. Your contribution will make a tangible difference to our club and to the players who pull on the Cornwall shirt each month.
We are incredibly grateful for your support and look forward to keeping you updated on our progress throughout the season.
