Every so often, something happens that reminds us we are not doing this alone. This is one of those moments.

Cornwall Powerchair Football Club would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Towan Lodge for their incredibly generous donation of £500 towards our fundraising efforts. It is the kind of support that lands quietly, does a lot of good, and deserves to be properly acknowledged.

As a grassroots club, we rely entirely on fundraising and community backing to keep going. Powerchair football is not just about match days. It is about access, inclusion, independence, teamwork and confidence. It is about creating a space where disabled players can compete, belong and thrive, both on and off the court. Donations like this help make all of that possible.

This contribution will go directly towards essential costs such as equipment, training and travel, all of which are vital to keeping the club running and accessible to those who want to be part of it. It strengthens the foundations of what we are building and helps ensure the club can continue to grow sustainably.

Support from organisations like Towan Lodge genuinely makes a difference. It shows belief in inclusive sport and in the people behind it, from our players and coaches to the volunteers who keep everything moving behind the scenes.
